Written with PHP (compatible with both major versions, 4 and 5) and MySQL, with a complete server-side database and request caching system, LibraryScript is ridiculously fast. Ridiculously. This speed and performance benefit means that you will need to spend less money on web hosting, and be able to handle more visitors without any noticable lag. Furthermore, it depends on no external libraries, and will run on any PHP-supported server; see recommended hosts.

This isn't just a blind claim: we've run tests! An initial page load on a full, content-heavy LibraryScript page, with a full database, on a budget webserver runs for just 25 ms, subsequent loads run even faster (up to 70% faster!) thanks to the database-request cache. This is fast. Other script's measure their load times in seconds, often in double digits for the uncached load; we're just an order of magnitude or two faster.

Allowing you to follow in the footsteps of many successful websites, LibraryScript includes a fully featured member and registration system, allowing you to allow users to join your site, contribute to the site and it's content, communicate with other members and build a community. Furthermore, the member system is integrated with the strong user permissions system, allowing you to run sites with multiple staff members / administrators, and control their access to areas of the site down to a T.

As a comparison, other scripts often offer prebuilt "classes" of users, administrators, moderators, etc. This is powerful, and in fact, we match this offering by pre-developing a small set of classes; but furthermore, the permissions system lets you build and define your own classes (called "groups"), and control what permissions they have, where.

Customizing your site is easy and fast with LibraryScript's theming and language systems. The theme files are in easy to understand and easy to modify "presentation logic" files, compliant with the software engineering standard, and are divided in such a way that it is easy for end-users to modify as much, or as little as they like. Advertisement integration, or full site redesign - it's up to you. Furthermore, the language system allows individual sites to exist in more than just English; or, to not exist in English at all - plug and play language files, or allow your visitor to choose, again, it's all up to you.

The language system combined with the theming system allows you to quickly deploy multiple variations of your site with different layouts, etc., it ensures that users of LibraryScript will be able to customize and creativize their sites, as well as giving the power to quickly deploy "temporary" themes, such as a Christmas or other holiday theme or any other marketing tactic you'd like to run.
